Walters Art Museum in Baltimore encourages art lovers to visit

. There's a modest, but very interesting collection of Japanese art at the Museum, from samurai armor, to hanging scrolls, to Buddhist sculpture and netsuke. It's all supplemented with some great examples of Chinese, Korean, and Southeast Asian art in a 19th-century mansion that was linked to the museum in 1989.

The Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore is easily accessible from 95, and has some very eclectic dining
